Project LEAD: WORK-BASED LEARNING

Carrie Richards joins the PASSHE Foundation as Project Lead: Work-Based Learning with over 25 years’ experience as a nonprofit management professional and a knack for building community and advancing economic development through strategic partnerships. A strong believer in the power of social capital, Carrie loves facilitating connections between individuals and groups to foster collaboration, find shared interests, and strengthen their communities.  Most recently, Carrie was Associate Director of The Bayer Center for Nonprofit Management at Robert Morris University, where she spent 18 years providing capacity building, community development, educational training and program management for nonprofits in the greater Pittsburgh area.

Carrie is a Robert Morris University alumna with master’s degrees in nonprofit management and human resources. She has served on numerous nonprofit boards both locally and nationally, and presently serves as Vice-President of ESC-US, a nationwide network of organizations that provide consulting, coaching and other essential services to strengthen nonprofits. A proud resident of Pittsburgh’s North Side, she and her husband Bradly love exploring national parks and visiting Disney World as often as possible.
